Do you ever notice how the first meeting of the day seems to run more easily and flawlessly than the meeting at the end of the day? Microsoft may have the answer why and how to improve those later meetings. They monitored the EEG brainwaves of employees as they participated in meetings throughout the day. As the day progressed, their brainwaves showed increasing levels of stress and decreased enagagment in meetings. BUT, these changes were mitigated by taking 10-15 minute breaks between meetings. Here is a link the study.
